To ensure you’re getting the most out of your Good Pore Day facial, use this check list to get your skin ready for some pore-pampering:
One week prior to your service:
- Discontinue use of any products containing Alpha Hydroxy Acids such as glycolic or lactic acids, or any retinoids like Retina-A, Renova, Tretinoin, or Differin.
- Avoid facial waxing; we recommend tweezing or threading instead
- Avoid sunlight to reduce the risk of sunburn
If you’re factoring in injectables:
- Wait 24 hours after receiving Botox or other Botox-like treatments to receive this service
- Wait 2 weeks after receiving filler treatments to receive this service
And, if you’re currently being treated by a dermatologist, consult with them prior to receiving the Good Pore Day facial.
Your skin may appear pink and/or feel sensitive after receiving the Good Pore Day facial. This is normal! Here are our post-care recommendations:
- Avoid direct sun exposure and use SPF 30 or greater.
- Avoid excessive or direct steam and heat (e.g., saunas or steam rooms) for 24 hours post-service
- Avoid abrasive exfoliation immediately afterward and the day after
Yes! One of the biggest benefits of the Good Pore Day facial? You get instant results with zero downtime. That means you’re totally free to glam it up and hit the town the same day as your service. For best results, however, we recommend avoiding complexion products immediately after your service. Your skin will have just been cleared of any pore-clogging gunk and debris, so it’s best to give your skin a break for a little while if you want to get the most out of your results.
We recommend booking the Good Pore Day facial once a month, but you can safely get the service as often as once a week! Our advice is to check in with your skin—for example, if you tend to have oily or congested skin, booking twice a month might help you clear out pores more effectively.
